RDT is very proud to announce that one of our apprentices, Associate Software Engineer Joe Porter, has been shortlisted for a Thames Valley Business and Community Award.

The awards celebrate the achievements of businesses, charities and inspirational individuals in the region.

Joe is shortlisted in ‘The Apprentice of The Year’ category, which recognises an individual who has made an exceptional contribution and commitment to their workplace.

Alongside his work at RDT, where he is gaining real-world experience and earning an income, Joe is studying for a degree in digital and technology solutions as part of his apprenticeship programme.  He has also been involved locally in raising awareness of apprenticeships and giving advice to young people making post-GCSE and A-Level decisions.

Joe said: “It’s a huge honour to be nominated and shortlisted for this award, and it’s very motivating to have hard work recognised.  I’d like to thank RDT for the opportunity and for the fantastic support I receive every day from my colleagues.”
