Hi, my name is Adam Page and I work as a software engineer at RDT.
I joined RDT in September 2011 as part of an apprenticeship scheme in software development.
For the first few years at RDT I got to learn a lot about the software lifecycle in general. As well as growing my own knowledge in software development I had ample opportunities to understand QA processes, requirements gathering and analysis, and client communications.
Since then I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing RDT grow in many ways and it has been great to be a part of it. I’ve worked with different teams on many projects, ranging from extending the elaborate feature set of RDT’s flagship product Landscape, to greenfield web development where I was involved from the earliest design stages.
What I enjoy most about working at RDT is that every day is different. You get to work on all the various aspects of creating good quality software such as problem solving, assisting with automated testing, and even creating and supporting build and release pipelines.
It’s also great to be in an agile environment where there is a big emphasis on quality. It’s good that we are able to deliver software to our clients with meaningful business value in a short space of time. Being a part of this constant process is great for morale.
As for my personal life I like to keep up to date with the latest software technologies to aid in any personal projects as well as at RDT. I really enjoy travelling to new places (I got to do that a lot recently when my partner had a study-year abroad in Malaysia). I also can’t get enough of PC gaming!
