RDT attends the African Revival Ball

RDT were thrilled to attend and support the ‘African Revival Ball’ last Friday in London in aid of the African Revival charity.

The African Revival charity believes that education is the key to overcoming poverty.  They raise much needed funds to help improve the provision and quality of education in Uganda and Zambia.  With a goal of improving school infrastructure, and ensuring equal access to education for girls, the charity has a vision of providing quality education to give children a brighter future.

In both Uganda and Zambia the charity establishes long term relationships with schools and teaching colleges in order to support both teacher training and school development plans.  They aim to provide ongoing infrastructure, teaching and training resources to improve girls’ access to schools.

Previous events have raised enough funds that the charity currently provides training for over 30 teachers in these countries.  They have also managed to build classrooms in Luzira, Uganda.

The fun-filled evening had a 1980’s theme including a ‘new romantic’ reception and was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees from RDT.
