Last month several delegates from RDT attended The Insurance Network’s TINtech conference in London. Among the sessions that our delegates attended there were several speakers of interest.

A futurologist spoke about the digital revolution, what the future looks like, and how technology changes will plateau.

There was an inspirational speech about how you should implement change in small, manageable chunks which each deliver value, rather than big chunks of change. This is especially pertinent in a risk-averse environment as you then have more control over the change.

RDT proudly sponsored the ‘Technology, Innovation and Disruption’ session in the afternoon which had a mixed and diverse panel with representatives from Aviva, Swiss RE and Cuvva. This was felt to be the best session of the day in terms of the thought provoking discussion and crowd participation.

There were interesting views on large and small organisations, with examples of how some inspire innovations with workshops where people pitch to the board with their ideas. Some ideas are then moved forward with internal funding so these organisations can see what works.

We also had a lot of interest at our stand with a range of different representatives of a variety of companies – underwriters, architects, CTOs, CDOs. It was also great to catch up with representatives from our existing clients there.
