INSURTECH provider RDT has strengthened its long-term partnership with Towergate Underwriting (soon to be rebranded Geo Underwriting), part of The Ardonagh Group, the UK’s leading diversified independent insurance intermediary.

RDT has been supporting Towergate since 2008, when the insurer implemented RDT’s Landscape administration platform for the household market. Towergate has extended the platform over the years, taking advantage of improvements to Landscape’s power and functionality, and is now live with the most up to date version of Landscape to support its personal lines business.

Landscape has been delivered to users across five sites in the UK following Towergate’s award-winning IT transformation, and is hosted in Microsoft Azure cloud. Towergate was one of the first insurers to move its core services to the cloud, a project that has earned the business a place on the shortlist for the award for Innovation in Technology at the 2017 Insurance Times Awards.

The latest version of Landscape provides Towergate with enhanced functionality for document production and reporting, while the combined effect of RDT’s ongoing investment and Towergate’s transformation will ensure dramatic gains in overall system performance.
